Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania
One ex making the other have terrible time
My fiancee's exgirlfriend and him were engaged. They have one child together, one that she refuses to let him see. Lately there have been letters sent to her parent's house using her first name and his last name. They were never married and this just started recently, they have been seperated since November 2002. What can he do to protect himself and will this have any setbacks for us getting married?

Re: One ex making the other have terrible time
There is not really enough information in your question to provide an answer. What is the nature of the letters? Are they bills for credit cards or other liabilities? The implication seems to be, from your question, that your boyfriend's ex is assuming the role of his wife by using this name. If they were not married, however, I can think of no effect this will have on your marriage plans. However, his child support obligation will continue regardless of whether or not he sees his son. If he wishes to obtain partial custody or visitation rights, he may do so through the courts.
