If you can get a signed document agreeing that these items are solely your property, you should be able to have a local Police Officer go with you to be sure there is no trouble. If they will not help, you will be able to have a local State Constable go with you. If nothing can be agreed on at this point, you may have to file for a Divorce to get a Family Court Order to allow you to recover your things. The first question is whether a divorce action has been filed. If a divorce has been filed, and it is necessary, you could obtain an order from the court allowing you to retrieve your possessions, and keeping them safe until you can do so. If no divorce has yet been filed, you are not within the protection of the court. If you anticipate a domestic disturbance or other problem you may check with the local police as to what procedure they would wish you to follow and then follow their advice. If you wish, you could obtain the services of a local attorney to act as intermediary.
