Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

Missing visitation weekend

I have partial custody of 2 minor children in which I get visitation two weekends per month. I have never missed a weekend since the order was filed 6 years ago but will be out of the country over a vistation weekend in October.

Are there any legal ramifications to missing a visitation or possibly have legal action brought against me by the childrens' primary custodian?

This is a necessary event that cannot be rescheduled is there anything that I should or need to do to protect myself against any potential legal action.

Thank you very much for your time and courtesies.

Re: Missing visitation weekend

Well how well do you get along with the custodial parent. You might just ask to swap a weekend. The more advance notice the better. Missing 1 weekend in 6 years should not have any legal impact.

Try talking to the other parent. Just remember if you can try working out its cheaper and better for the kids.
