Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

My mom has been married to her second husband for the past 5 years. During this time, he has been emotionally abusive and financially abusive. He constantly belittles her, calls her crazy, and has foolishly spent a good deal of her money. She is realizing how abusive he is and is considering getting a divorce. Currently, they live in an apartment and they are both on the lease. Is there any way that she can kick him out, or does she have to wait until the lease is up? The lease is good for another year and a half.

Through a divorce, she can request exclusive possession of the apartment to get her out. If he is physically abusive, she can file a protection from abuse petition.
