Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

My mother entered my home.

My mother entered my home while i was out and took a bedroom set that belonged to her. I told her she can have it back, but not while i wasn't there. My girlfriends father opend the door for her because she presented him with a false warent to enter the premises. She also took a T.V. that she had given me a few months ago. Also, i forgot to mention that my mother has a key to my home. She was not supose to come in my house with me not there. She was supose to return my house key 2-3 days ago and she still has it and won't give it to me. So she can come in my home anytime she wishes. What is it i could do about this whole mess? Any info would help thank you. Wally

Re: My mother entered my home.

It is unclear what the history of the relationship between the players in your scenario might be - if your mother has in the past been granted free access to your home and is now unwelcome, for example. In any event, starting from the present, you wish your mother to keep out of your home when you are not there.

Generally, in order to establish a trespass, a person must clearly have notified the violator that his entry will be considered a trespass - a letter to this effect will establish this boundary. If the person has a key, one would also request its return and/or change the locks.

I wish you the best.
