Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

i just moved to north carolina 3 weeks ago and my usband lives in pa. we have no custody order in pa but have one for joint custody in ny state. he went to jail a week ago and is parents have our son. can i legaly go to pa and take my son back here with me since he is in jail or can they legally keep my son from me?

You would have to file in PA for custody.
