Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

Nieces and Nephews

My brothers wife has primary

custody of there three kids and one

child that is not his but has his last

name. She is a horrible housekeeper

(dirty diapers laying around, old food

sitting around for days, you can't

walk through the house, etc.), two of

the kids have lice constantly, and

they don't want to live there. I know

if Icall CYS that the three kids will go

with their dad or a family member.

My question is what will happen to

the fourth child that isn't really his?

The childs father randomly pays child

support, but has never even met

him. I just need to know what will

happen to my nephew before I take

action.

Re: Nieces and Nephews

You asked about custody issues if you should report a parent to CYS.

A better question would be what will happen to the child if you do not tell CYS?

CYS, while it gets a lot of flack, generally does try to act in the best interests of the child. Your brother should engage an attorney to seek custody of all the children and without involvement of CYS.

No attorney can give you a helpful answer without more information and knowing the parties in the case. Hire a local attorney and work with him/her to get the solution that is best for the children.

Regards,

Roger
