Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

Pa Divorce Rules

In may I have once again discovered my using drugs. She filed a PFA on me for the reason of just throwing me out the house. She has temporary custody of my two daughters. I immediately filed for divorce. Pa law says we will automaticly be divorced in two years. The house has a balloon payment due and falls short of those two years. 1) If the divorce is not settled, what will happen to the house, and 2) Will I get any other marital property if the divorce is automaticly granted?

Re: Pa Divorce Rules

There is no automatic divorce in Pa. The two years is just the period of separation which she can make you wait before you move forward on the divorce. Once the two years runs, then the divorce process can move forward. It sounds as if you should contact an attorney to obtain a clear understanding of the law.
