PAST DUE CHILD SUPPORT FOUND...WHO DOES IT GO TO?

I have a question pertaining to child support. If someone found out that there was back support waiting to be picked up from 1986 to 1993, and the children are all grown, who would that money go to, the children who it was intended to go to in the beginning for their upkeep, or the mother?

Genrally, the past due support goes to the custodial parent, or the obligee under the order, not the children.
