my father died in pa and left the entire estate to his wife, while not recognizing me at all, I understand that under PA estate law that I am entitled to some portion of the estate, is this true?

Did he have a will? If he did he can leave everything to his wife. If he had no will he died intestate and you would be entitiled to part of the estate providing he left assets in his name alone and not joint. Consult with a pennsylvania attorney.
