Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania

I am the payor of a child support order. In June my job was eliminated and the payee voluntarily retired. At the conference DRS lowered his income to his retirement benefit. My understanding of the guidelines is his retirement is voluntary and does not change his obligation and since he receives the child support would that not mean his monthly should stay at the pre retirement amount? Additionally I receive severence pay which the DRS divided over the remainder of the child's minority and added that amount to my net monthly income which at the moment is unemployment compensation. Can they do that?

Re: Pennsylvania

They did it, now did you sign agreeing with the modification or did you not sign and file an appeal for the matter to be heard by a judge?

You did not provide enough info to advise you whether you should take the matter to a judge or accept what was done.

Good luck to you.
