Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania
What happens when a petition to modify custody is dismissed? I had sole custody by agreement. Dad petitioned for a modification. After hearing, dad received supervised visitation and shared legal custody. He missed the next hearing and his petition to modify was dismissed, bench warrant issued. He was picked up and appeared before a judge without me present. His supervised visits are to resume. My question is why, if his petition was dismissed? Wouldnt custody revert back to our previous agreement?

Would have to review the paper work, to see if there is an interim order still in place. Go to FC and ask if interim order is still in place or see a lawyer. My PA office is near 69t St.
I agree with the attorney you must review the paperwork and the disposition of the case after the father was picked up on the bench warrant. You should contact an attorney to discuss the matter to review your options.
