what to do if there is no power of attorney

My husband became very ill and it affected his ability to think read and write . he never had me made power of attorney what can i do now so i can sign for him such as

transfer a title of a car which is in his name. he can not even sign his name.

You already have the capacity to sign for him by capacity of your marriage. But an attorney can help draft documents that will help others get around the issues they have.
