power of attorney for incapable parent
How do I go about obtaining a power of attorney for my mother who can not sign her name, can not speak well and has some dementia ? Is it possible to do?

Re: power of attorney for incapable parent
You will have to proceed with a guardianship for this matter because it sounds as though your mother is no longer competent to sign a Power of Attorney appointing you as her agent. This is relatively simple unless someone contests your appointment as guardianship. You will need an attorney to help you with this. We have offices throughout southeastern Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey if we can be of assistance to you.
Good luck!
