premarital belongings

Getting divorced, my belongings are at in-laws home, wife refuses to return because of equiable distriution. There was nothing bought together, everything came from my room at my parents. How can I get them to return them to me?

You may have to force the issue of equitable distribution. If there are lawyers involved it will be easier to do. You can either agree to what is and isn't marital property and make a written agreement. If that isn't possible and no economic claims have been made as part of the divorce action you will have to file that as part of the divorce action. If there is no movement then you'll have to have a divorce master appointed. This will be neither easy no inexpensive.
