Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

prevent spouse from changing deed to her mother's name

I am trying to find the legal term and costs. My former grlfrnd (we have 2 kids) and I have split up. We purchased a house 7 years ago together but put it in her name only (due to poor credit). We shared all expenses over that time- including a joint checking account. I want to prevent her from changing the house into her mom's name. I need to know what the legal term is for this and the est. costs to file this petition. I am planning to fight her for half the house, but before it goes to court, I need to be sure she doesn't chg the deed. Thanks you for your help.

This is a very complicated matter. You should seek legal help at once. As you were not married your remedies are somewhat limited and would most likely involve anequity action which could be quite costly.
