Problems with Dual Citizenship?
I have been researching online and I found this site, thankfully. I hope someone can answer my questions.

My boyfriend and I have a 9 month old son together. He is Swiss (living and studying in Switzerland), and I am American (living and studying here). Our son has his last name, and now his father wants our son to have Swiss citizenship. The recent custody battle between Brazil and a NJ man over his son has raised concerns. If I agree to give our son Swiss citizenship, will I lose my rights to him as a parent when we visit Switzerland? Can he keep my child rather than letting him return to the US with me? What potential custody pitfalls could I encounter and are they any different from the ones I could encounter if our son did not have Swiss citizenship? Basically, I need to know what the consequences could be if our son had dual citizenship. Marriage is an option for me and my son's father, but we aren't looking to get married for a few years, so that is all up in the air right now. If he was born in the US then your son is a US citizen.
