Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

property and divorce

My husband and I are filing for divorce. He wants to buy me out of the house, but will not be able to give me the entire amount. He will only be able to give me half of what he needs to completely buy me out. I am fine with this but want to know how I can legally hold him responsible for the remaining money. Is having it in the divorce papers enough? Or shloud we have seperate documents drawn up for that?

Re: property and divorce

Your lawyer should make sure you have adequate security.

You didn't tell us how much is at stake.

You may want to hold a mortgage on the house until you receive your funds.

If we can help let us know. The fee is reasonable compared to what you have at stake.
