Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

property

My husband and I are filing for divorce. He wants to buy me out of the house, but will not be able to give me the entire amount. He will only be able to give me half of what he needs to completely buy me out. I am fine with this but want to know how I can legally hold him responsible for the remaining money. Is having it in the divorce papers enough? Or shloud we have seperate documents drawn up for that?

Re: property

You should definitiely put the terms of the payment in what is called a property settlement agreement. You should have this agreement become part of the final divorce. There re other provisions or things that could be done to further protect or secure the repayment of the balance. You should speak with an attorney.
