Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

property settlement

my wife and i are being divorced. she has an atty. , i cant afford one. we jointly own a house that her parents reside in. it was deeded to us so i could get a mortgage and loan them a sum of money. the money was not repaid so i assumed with my name on the house that i get 1/2 equity in the divorce. i had to file bankruptcy one year ago. she says i have no rights and her lawyer agrees. the deed for the house says it was bought during our marriage from another party,(an uncle)she is going to claim she lied and it was a gift. is this possible?? do i have rights?? in the meantime they are dragging this out as long as they can because it isnt costing her anything. can i speed up the process?? the only advice i could get from a lawyer was it wasnt worth it to just settle. they are offering nothing. the equity after the loan repayment is about 20,000 although they are going to try to claim its worth much less.. is there anything i can do??

Re: property settlement

Many lawyers like myself operate on a sliding scale basis, meaning we take into account how much our clients can pay to determine what we charge. I would highly recomend obtaining a lawyer and fighting for your fair share, especially with the amount involved. I offer free consultations.
