Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

What are some reasons for contesting a will, a friend father has a questionable caregiver who moved in with him a while ago now she has cut off all medical and financial information from the family she is not a family member the family believe he is incompetent, but she got all family member off the father HIPA for medical and locked away all his financial records. is this grounds to pursue contesting a will and be able to find out where the medical and financial information is the father is still alive.

The appropriate action to take would be to have a guardian appointed if the the father is incompetant. Action should be taken quickly. You only contest a will once the person is deceased, however if the person had a will prior to having the new caregiver and changed the will subsequently it may be evidence of undue influence on the part of the caregiver. in any event The child of the father shoul;d discuaa the situation with legal counsel. if they would like they could contact my office to discuss this further.
