Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

I received a package in the mail from my Ex. It says he filed a petition with the court accusing me of custodial interference and has a Notice and Order to Appear. However, he didn't sign the verification and his name lacks his middle initial even though it was on the original custody agreement. It also has a date to appear, but not a time. Is this a falsified document?

Is there a time stamp showing that it was filed at a certain date and time? If it wasn't then it's nothing to worry about. To be sure call the prothonotary to check. If it wasn't filed then it's something for him to worry about.

Even if he did file it without a verification you can file preliminary objections based on that. For misspelling his name that's isn't an issue although some clerks would have made him correct it before filing.

I agree with John to call the court and confirm the petition was filed. You can also confirm the time and court room. However, I strongly suggest having an attorney look at the document to advise you better, not just on the document itself, but on defending the matter.
