Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

Relocation of minors across state lines

I understand that I must receive permission from the court in order to relocate with my children to another state.

My question is :1) Must I obtain a lawyer to initiate this process?

2) Where do I go and what forms mustbe filled out?

Re: Relocation of minors across state lines

While the courts do not require an individual to have an attorney, in a relocation case I strongly recommend one. The legal standard the courts apply is quite complex and the law on relocation is in a constant state a flux. Even the forms for relocation can be somewhat complicated. Our firm has several family law lawyers who deal with relocation cases on a regular basis. Without a lawyer you will be unable to present your case to the court in a manner necessary to comply with the legal standards.
