Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

What are the separation laws in PA? if I want to separate for sometime before deciding on a divorce. We have a kid ofr 5yrs...will the mother get the custody in temporary separation?

There is no such thing a a legal separation in Pennsylvania. As to custody that depends if your wife seeks a custody order.
