is it true that if you are married for 10 or more years you can get benefits from your spouse? what if you were married 9yrs and 5 months?

The length of the marriage is only relevant to division of property questions or where there is a pre-nuptial agreement in effect. In Pennsylvania alimony is rehabilative in nature and is awarded to a spouse with a lower earning capacity in the hopes that they will be able to improve their situation. I offer free consultations.
