Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania
Single Parenting
I want a friend to father a child for me. I want to know as far as the legality of the situation as to what I need to do so that he would not be financially responsible in any way and I would have sole custody of the child but leave the door open for to him having as much or as little involvement in his or her life. For all intents and purposes the child will solely be my responsibility. I need to know what kind of Lawyer I need to seek advice from to have legal documents drawn up that state the above mentioned concerns. I also do want to make sure that in the future that he would not be able to sue me for custody of the child under any circumstances. I have not a clue where to begin with this and we are still in the ''talking about it'' stages and nothing is written in stone. Is what I want a possibility?

Re: Single Parenting
No, it is not possible. Pennsylvania law is clear you may not contract away your child's right to child support. Such contracts are unenforceable.
While a custodial parent is the person who receives child support it is supposed to be used to support the child. The parent paying child support actually has a right to have he courts verify if child support paid is actually used to support the child.
