Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

My son has never had a custody agreement in writing since my grandson has been born. We have always had a verbal agreement to have him every other weekend and at one point we had him once overnight throughout the week as well. My grandson will be 4 years old this month and we have not had any issues until recently. The mother wants to move my grandson across state lines clear across the country! What can we do???

As Samuel Goldwyn said an oral contracts aren't worth the paper they are written on.

As it stands YOUR son has a verbal agreement. Your son need to file for custody even if all that happens is the order just states what is currently n place. That way mother would have to file a petition to relocate the child. If he doesn't he will have a bigger more expensive problem. You son needs to act.
