He can file a Protection from Abuse Petition if he reasonably believes he is in physical danger. If not, he can file for divorce and may eventually wind up with the house with sole rights to it.

When he files for the divorce he can file a petition for special relief to get exclusive possession of the house. That can happen anytime after the divorce is filed.
