Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania
Spousal Support
Would I be eligable for Sponsal support, I was married to my husband for 5 and a half years. We lived together for 8 years prior to that. He left on day cause he was not happy. The house I live in has mine and his name on the dead but only his on the morgage. I work and make a pretty good income but not enough to afford the house and bills, repairs and insurance. He make a little over double what I make. For now he has agreed to pay half of the house hold finances so I can stay here for six months. but with him that could change any time. So should I file for Spousal support and how do they determine what I will get in the event that I win a judgement? We are from PA.

Re: Spousal Support
Actually file for Alimony Pendente Lite. Its just like spousal support only better. Assuming you had no kids the amount would be 40% of the difference in net incomes.

There is a good chance that you will be awarded spousal support based upon the information that you provided. Courts look at a number of factors to decide whether, and in what amount, to award you support. Factors that they consider are the length of the marriage and the standard of living that you enjoyed during the marriage. Also, your husband has an obligation to contribute to the household expenses.
