Is a spouse entitled to spousal support when separated in a common law marriage?

Potentially, but there's a bigger issue here. Recently (like in the past couple of years), the Pennsylvania appellate courts did away with common law marriages in our Commonwealth. I can't recall, however, the application of the case -- whether it grandfathered in current common law marriages or not. That's your larger issue, so tackle that one first! I'm sure an internet search on "common law marriage" and "Pennsylvania" will give you the answer.
