Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

Spouse Locked out of Home

Is it illegal for my spouse to lock me out of my own home? My spouse left the home. Three days later, my spouse tape recorded my phone conversation and caught me on my first date with a friend. Two days later, my spouse returned to the home and their father changed the locks on our house. I had no money or friends in the area. The father of my spouse told me I had 2 options, live on the streets or live with the person I dated. I when to stay in my friends house for 3 days till I found somewhere to live. My spouse and their parents called my parents to tell them I had left and moved in with someone else. My spouse has said they removed my name from the lease (5 months remaining on the lease). What legal options do I have? I already signed a new lease in the area and are filing for divorce. There were no physical threats made by anyone.

Re: Spouse Locked out of Home

A count for alimony endente lite may be added to the divorce to get your spouse to help with lodging. If you are on the lease you are a tenant and have a right to possession as good as your spouse. Call the landord and demand entry.
