What are teen rights in joint custody?
I am 17 currently living with my father. my parents have joint custody. i wish to move with my mother, my father threatens that he will go through procedures to keep me in his home. what are his rights as a parent and what are my rights has a minor? also if and when i am established at my mothers will she have the right to give me permission to live with a sibling who is of age, myself still as a minor? can my father contest this?

Your mother needs to file a petition for custody on your behalf. As a 17 year old, the court will give much weight to where you want to live. You need to discuss this issue with your mother and tell her she needs to get an attorney to help you with your situation. Good luck.
