Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

Termination of fathers parental rights

I would like to know how I can have my daughters fathers parental rights terminated. He made it quite clear while I was pregnant that he wanted nothing to do with the child and that neither did his mother(I have this statement in writing). My daughter is now 19months old and has only ever seen her father one time, this was during a modification hearing at our local DRS office. Not once during the time we were there did he either look at or acknowledge his daughter, which both the DRS hearing officer and myself found extremely ignorant. Also my daughter has never met her grandmother and I was told by a reliable source (her sister) she made the comment '' I only have one grandchild'',

referring to her grandson. The problem is I believe my daughter was conceived out of rape, I had gone out with her father the night I believe I got pregnant and had too many drinks. We had gone back to a friends house and I passed out

a while later I woke up to him on top of me doing his thing.I was to out of it to be able to fight back and could only let him finish doing what he was doing. The next day I confronted him and told him I knew what he had done, his response was it was a ''hate F*#k(excuse my language). Is there anything I can do?

Re: Termination of fathers parental rights

As to the rape charge the statute of limitations has not expired and you can certainly contact your county's DA for an investigation into the matter.

Termination of parental rights can either be voluntary or involuntary. If he has no interest in the child he would probably be more than willing to terminate his parental rights as this would end his obligation for child support. I offer free consultations.
