Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

Such a thing as a temporary or ''emergency'' child support order?

Can you tell me if anything exists such as a temporary or ''emergency'' child support order? My daughter's father and I were never married. We live in two different states. We haven't established anything in the court as far as support or custody. She is 4 years-old and I filed almost a year ago, but it's a slow process. Her father wants to see her for Christmas and I'd like to send her (he finally called her after having nothing to do with her for 4 years), but I'm afraid that since he's had this ''life-changing'' experience, whatever it was, that he may try to keep her. Is there anything temporary that can be drawn up that would order him to return her to me after Christmas? Or would I be taking a big chance that he may legally keep her since we have no custody order? I don't want to deprive my daughter of seeing him or his parents (she has been to visit his parents many times). She really wants to go and I don't want to break her heart; however, I'm afraid he may keep her and file for custody and I wouldn't be able to get her back until a Judge made his custody decision in court. This would devastate my daughter - she is very attached to me. PLEASE HELP!

You are confusing child support with child custody, it should not take too long to get into custody court. Support through multiple states does take longer.
