Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania
Tuition costs and modifications to child support
As my children get older and cost of living increases, would child support increase as well? Is there a certain number of years you have to wait to ask for modifications to child support? If I make 32,000/year and my ex makes around 64,000/year, what would the ratio be for paying school tuition (50/50, 40/60, or different)?

Re: Tuition costs and modifications to child support
The short answer to your first question is: Not necessarily.
You are entitled an should ask for changes when there is a substantial change in income or circumstances.
As to school tuition: I'm assuming you're talking private or parochial school tuition. There is no requirement to pay college tuition. There was but it was declared unconstitutional. As to non-college tuition you might want to work out an agreement as to who pays what. I could see an argument that its shouldn't be paid at all because there is available public education for free.
