Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania
Unmarried father rights in Pennsylvania
The mother is a deadbeat who refuses to work. Father (our son)has provided for the 3 of them but cannot continue to do so on his income. Can he pack up and take their daughter and move away from the mother/financee (back in with his parents)and try to get back on his feet.

Your son should consult with an attorney experienced in family law matters. Your question involves matters of custody which must be evaluated on a case by case basis. It is certainly possible for your son to petition the court for custody of his daughter. My office is located in Harrisburg, PA and I represent family law clients throughout the Central Pennsylvania region. 7988-LAW
