Vistation Rights?

I have paid child support for two years now, recently I have received a better job. The mother of my daughter has asked for more money, which I don't mind paying. I have never seen my little girl and I have never had the money to hire a lawyer to sue for vistation. How to I go about doing so since she lives in Pennsylvania and I live in New Hampshire.

Since you are paying support now and talking with your daughter's mother, I suggest that you discuss visitation with her directly. Even if you are paying support pursuant to a court order, the parties can still informally resolve issues of custody and visitation. It may be that the child's mother wants you to know and visit with your daughter.

I would need to review the divorce decree to determine if either state retained jurisdiction for purposes of child support or visitation. However, there is a high probability that you may need to hire a PA attorney and pursue the matter in that jurisdiction since the child has been there for an extended period of time. I would suggest that you not pay any additional support until your visit issues are addressed. However, continue paying what is currently court ordered.
