Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

Voluntary termination of rights

My child's father wants to terminate his parental rights, because he no longer wants to pay child support. If I agree to this is it legal in my state. There is no adoption or anything involved, I just want him out of our lives and he agrees that he wants to be also.

Re: Voluntary termination of rights

Not acceptable in PA, as it is against public policy to waive support for a child and any agreement would be unenforceable. Main way to have his rights terminated or to give them up would be through an adoption.
