Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania
My wife and I had agreed on a no fault divorce so I filled out the paper work and took it to the court house and received a claim #. She now changed her mind and hired an attorney. I had offered her everything in the house except for my personal property and the house. She said she would talk to the attorney but never gave me an answer. I went to the bank and verified that I could loan the money she owes for half of the house and I would buy her out. I thought that was a very good offer. We owe $51,000 on the house and she could not afford to keep the house and make the payments and bills.
She again said she will talk to her attorney next month. All she is doing is dragging this out as long as she can, and I can't stand living with her anymore. So, my question, could I go to the bank and simply say foreclose on my house, I'm done paying on it! Or can't I do that because she still lives there? If not, how can I get out of this mess??

Your best bet is getting a lawyer of your own. You can force her to move it along but it's not the easiest thing to do.
