Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

My wife and I are separted and she refuses to sign our joint income tax return so that I cannot cash the check and split it with her. She would rather spite me than to get the money she is owed. Is there any legal way that I can cash the check without her signature or some legal route I can take to get around anything? I don't want to cheat her of her half I just want my own. Can the money be forfeit if it is not cashed in a timely manner? How long do I have?

If you have a valid joint checking account, ask the bank where the account lies--you may be able to deposit in the account and when it clears, split the proceeds---If you have a lawyer you should consult him or her regarding ramifications...
