Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania
I will turn 17 in about two months and my boyfriend just turned 21. We are deciding that moving in together can be a better lifestyle for the both of us. My mom agrees, however, she is afraid that she of he can get into problems. She will not let me leave until I prove to her that she or he will not have any problems. What is the legal procedure for this to happen?

What kind of problems? I assume relating to rape. Statutory rape occurs when the victim (you) are less than 16 and the perpetrator (your boyfriend) is 4 or more years of age or older.
Here is the statute:
Except as provided in section 3121 (relating to rape), a person commits a felony of the second degree when that person engages in sexual intercourse with a complainant under the age of 16 years and that person is four or more years older than the complainant and the complainant and the person are not married to each other.
Why not just wait until you are 18 and then you can do what you want?
