Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

Just wondering

I married my husband in 2007, and asked him to get a prenuptial agreement so his family would stop saying that I was going to leave him and take money from him. He refused. I wanted to go out of state to get married so I didn't have to deal with the family, and his sister said I wanted to marry him in VA to get alimony in case of a divorce. We live in PA, which has no alimony, if I'm correct. Just to settle this in his family, if I married him in VA, and divorced him in PA, would I be able to get alimony being as we resided the entire time in a commonwealth state?

Re: Just wondering

Pennsylvania does have the possibility of alimony. Though its not as easy to get as it might be in other state.

You might want to ask the person who told you there was no alimony in Pennsylvania where they got their information.
