wrkers comp settlements

i live in lehigh county in my settlement will be a payoff of arrears owed on child support. my lawyer was notified dom relations will be taking more money than just payoff in case i get arrears again ? is this legal if i just payed it off would they make me pay motre than i owed i dont understand how they can do this.

Yes. Your court will take an amount to ensure future support payments. It is legal.
