family medical leave?

Is there a minimum amount of time you can take on family medical leave? I need to care for my mother but may only need 2 or 3 weeks.

You asked about Family Medical Leave Act leave.

FMLA leave can be taken in increments of as little as one workday. Employers are not required to give leave in increments of less than a full workday but must allow FMLA leave as required in increments up to the full twelve weeks, assuming the other conditions and parameters are satisfied.
