Legal Question in Medical Leave in Pennsylvania
''Sick Child''
My mother's employer ''suggested'' she does not miss anymore work to care for my brother who is very ill. If she uses the FMLA can she still be fired when she takes leave to take him to Pittsburgh Children's Hospital? Would that be a misjustice to my mother?

You have not given me many facts about the situtation with your mother. However, IN GENERAL, if your mother is entitled to family medical leave then they cannot fire her. They must provide her with a similar job with equal pay upon her return. I suggest that you either consult an attorney or research FMLA on the internet to determine whether she can take a leave under FMLA & what notice she must give to her employer
