Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pennsylvania
Fifth amendment at a deposition
Can I invoke the 5th amendment at a deposition in a lawsuit in which I am not a defendent? I've been subpeonad by the prosecution and want to be a hostile witness. I favor the defendent.

it depends upon hte reason for using the 5th. if you are going to incriminate yourself, then yes, however, a judge will eventually get involved
