definetly call my firm for advice. there maybe a products liability case against the manufacturer of the vehicle or if there was a prior accident, then the car dealership maybe liable if we can prove they knew about it and failed to dislose it (if the accident was on a CarFax report or some other report).

There are few 'good' explanations for an airbag's failure to deploy in a serious accident. Whether it was the manufacturer, a later mechanic, or a salesman, there's no good reason that in this day and age a vehicle with a defective or spent airbag should be on the street.

You should consult a personal injury / products liability attorney. Keep in mind that, for most tort claims in Pennsylvania, the statute of limitations requires a claim be filed within two years of the accident, which means you need to find an attorney well before that (to have time to investigate, research, et cetera).
