Car Accident
my wife and I were involved in--name removed--car accident which the other party was at fault. I have limited tort and I don't believe my wifes injuries are enough to by past the limited tort. The insurance company sent us--name removed--letter stating that they would like to settle. They stated that her injury bypasses the medical threshold. Whats going on? An attorney said I don't have--name removed--strong enough case but they want to settle?? Any help or explanation??

You should review the facts of the case with a lawyer. there are exceptionss to the limited tort threshold in certain instances. Also you can not be certain that the injuries do not establish the threshold. you can call my office for a free consult to discuss your case

A few possibilities. 1. There are certain exceptions to limited tort, & perhaps you come under 1 of them. 2. Ins co's sometimes like to get cases settled, for a very small amount, so it's file can be closed. Too complicated a question to answer w/o ALL the information, the policy, the doctor's reports and bills, etc. Sorry, but you HAVE to go to an attorney. If you handle it yourself, there is a 98% chance you will end up hurting yourself.
