Child Harassed by School Volunteer
My 12 year old son has an on going problem with a same aged girl. Her mother volunteers at the school and has begun to bother him. He feels like she is zeroing in on him. This is backed up by other students. Have spoken to the principal and requested that the mother be kept away from him. What other action should I take? I do not think he should have to deal with an adult in his school.

Re: Child Harassed by School Volunteer
You should demand, not ask, that the adult be kept away from your child. Do this in writing, return receipt requested, certified mail. You may want an attorney to draft a letter on their letterhead for you so the school knows you are serious about this. (It wouldn't cost much for an attorney to draft a simple but strongly worded letter to the school.) There should be no reason why an adult should be harassing a child at school. You should also send a letter to the adult telling them at no time will you tolerate them harassing your child.
