Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pennsylvania

Child liable for a prent's debt or actions

Can a child be held liable for their parent's actions?

My wife's parent's are involved in some legal battles in PA - they have been evicted from their house and I think are in debt to a number of people. Can my wife and I be held liable for any of this? If so, what can we do to protect our assets?

So long as you have not signed any papers guaranteeing your wife's parents debts, as a c0-signer or guarantor, I can't think of any way that you or your wife could be held responsible for their debts.
